Why I never think of that!?

Sometimes, there are design problems in our lives that can be easily solved but we simply choose to live with it. Then when someone design something to solve it, we ask ourselves why we never think of that. Here is an example of a new bicycle handle design. Often when we try to lean the bicycle against the wall, we find the handle getting in the way and making the bicycle unstable. So the designer created a foldable handle! Simple and problem solved! So look around you. Who knows, you may be the next one creating a simple yet powerful solution :)

Love our Planet Earth!!!

Recently, our school celebrated Earth Day by collecting old newspaper for recycling. As we try our best to recycle as much as possible, this simple umbrella holder recycles the water that drips off the umbrella and use them to water the plant below. Great green idea isn't it? What do you think? Feel free to comment in the textbox on the right :)

Recycling as a way of life :)

As the world continues to talk about gobal warming, sustainability has grown to become one of the hot topics in design. This is a very simple design of a slip-on cover that can convert used plastics bottles into a nice minimalist vase. Cool!

Elastic & Flexible Shelf?

When it comes to creativity, there is really no boundaries. Look at this shelf for example. By using a simple elastic band, the designer enables different configurations to be possible. Can you think of any other configuration other than the ones shown above? How about using the same concept in other furnitures?

Security Chair?

This is an interesting design I found on the net. The product is a chair that enables the user to keep their personal belongings under the chair without dirtying them. It even has a place for you to hang your coat! What do you think? Where do you think we can use such product? Any problem you foresee?
